Recipes | The Best Steaks | Seared Steaks

Most people think that good steaks only come from an outdoor grill. Not true! The BEST way to prepare a steak is inside... Searing a steak on a hot skillet or griddle with plenty of sea salt & black pepper makes the most amazing crust on the outside and red hot, juicy in the middle. This is a great dinner to fix for one - takes just 10 minutes start to finish.

Seared Steaks

2 - 10 oz. steaks (ribeye, filets, strips...)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of sea salt
1 tablespoon of freshly ground black pepper

Begin by drizzling the steaks with olive oil, then coated in salt & pepper. Be sure to use plenty of seasoning!

Heat a skillet, pan or griddle on high heat for 2-3 minutes until it is very hot. Cook the steaks on high for 3-4 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms.

Finish the steaks in a 500 degree oven for 5 minutes. ***If the steaks are smaller than 10 oz. each, only bake 3-4 minutes to avoid over cooking.
